I was born in Houston, TX and have lived in South Houston for most of my life. I do some freelance translation work from Spanish to English. In the past I have been a member of the South Houston Elementary PTA and recieved a lifetime PTA award. I was active in the local Fiestas Patrias parades and was a member of The Sociedad Mutualista Jose Maria Morelos Y Pavon in South Houston. I currently attend our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. I have served on the South Houston City Council for a total of 10 years. I have been secretary for 4 years with the Harris County Public Library System at the South Houston Branch. I currently work with The Amigos Del Barrio Group with former PISD classmates and friends. I am also involved with the South Houston First Candidates for Public Office to advocate for change in our area.
